Just have to brag on her...

For the most part Savannah has been very sweet and on her best behavior this week as we go through our days together. It has been fun to get out and do our grocery shopping for the week, sit and wait 45 minutes to get an oil change, and attempt to go to story time. The past 2 weeks we've tried to go to story time at the library only to find out yesterday that it doesn't resume until next week. It still made for a fun outing. Last week they had a table full of picture books that they were discarding. I picked up a stack of books for only $.25 each. Not bad for a hardback library bound book! She is starting to mature and appreciate the process of picking out books to check out and have read to her while we are in the children's section, and play with the puzzles. After our visits a year ago, she was the one who just wanted to run around and chase the other kids. She still has to know what is going on around her, but she is showing more interest in books.

We've also had a breakthrough with the potty training since Jan. She is taking her own personal initiative now, without always being told she needs to go. Often she will go into the bathroom and do it all on her own and doesn't need help. Of course we are still a ways from being 100% trained, but the progress makes me happy. Now if we can just work a little harder until March!

Of course our favorite thing to do after story time is go to Chik-fil-a. Savannah just about always asks to trade her toy for ice cream after playing in the playground. So we end up staying there for quite a while. But it almost always results in an instant nap when we get home. =)

FYI, Chik-fil-A has excellent natural lighting. Windows on both sides of the building. I bet you never thought of going there to get portraits of your child. =) Savannah was playing peek-a-boo with a man behind me.

Yesterday afternoon. She was ok with me taking pictures as long as she could be outside running around, even if it was cold!

I love the expression captured on this picture as she ran towards me!

Today is suppose to be extremely cold all day, so we are staying inside for the day. This morning Savannah cooperated pretty well for a Valentine photo shoot. Pictures to come on that later. =) I did get some good ones though.
