Santa's little elf

How can you not resist this little ham!?! Savannah was surprised when she walked into her Grandmama and Granddaddy Bailey's house this past weekend to find this adorable cardboard house sitting waiting for her arrival. Saturday night we had a nice visit with some of friends from Oak Mt. and all the kiddos got to play together. Who needs entertainment when you have 6 one years olds running around. ;) They all enjoyed going in and out and climbing through windows of the play house. The play house is like 20 years old and Jonathan and Katie use to play it in back when they were younger. Too bad it can't stay out all year round! Saturday Jonathan choose for us to eat at the Cheesecake Factory. It is one of our favorite places to eat! He got his all time favorite Chocolate Mousse Cake to go for dessert and I got my favorite Vanilla Bean Cheesecake to go. This is like the only cake Jonathan will eat. Sunday we went out for lunch with the Bailey's to the Fish Market to celebrate Jonathan's 28th birthday. Of course Jonathan's B'day and Christmas list was limited in what he wanted this year, but he did mention he wouldn't mind having some wrinkle free shirts from Brooks Brothers. So we went ahead and ordered him 3 between me and his parents. He seemed surprised and happy about getting them. Can't wait to see if they hold up to their super powers. HAHA!

Savannah and I stayed a few extra days this week to do some baking with my mother. She said one thing she wanted for Christmas was for all her girls to get to bake together. Kathryn and Rebecca stayed over on Monday as well. Well, between juggling little girls and what not, we didn't all get to bake together the whole time. We did manage to make 3 loaves of pumpkin bread, peanut butter reindeer cookies, and mix up a batch of gingerbread cookies. On Tuesday mom and I cut out the gingerbread cookies and Savannah got to help with the best part. She got to sprinkle sugar on the last batch of gingerbread cutouts. Mom would like to start Christmas baking tradition with her girls. I think it would be something fun to try to do each year, and by next year the girls will really be ready to get their hands involved!! I couldn't resist getting some pictures of Savannah in action.





I had a ScrapEtc event meeting tonight. Good times with some of the girls playing a little dirty santa game and Monique spilled one of her many upcoming secrets.;)Savannah and I plan to go home tomorrow morning. We will just have a few days at home before we turn around and head back down to Bham for Christmas.
