Lily Bee and Simply Obsessed

I just loved the vintage/shabby feel of this kit. The mix of blues and reds was perfect too! Lily Bee is such a fun new company and I had a great time playing with their products.

"Happy Birthday" Card

A birthday card in honor of Simply Obsessed 2nd Birthday. The journaling blocks are perfect for cutting up to be used for a message on a card. Used some scraps of one of the papers to piece together a little banner.
"All American Smile"

I love how the colors could be incorporated for a 4th of July layout.

"Swing Song"

I loved these pictures I took of my niece on the 4th of July. The sheet music paper that was included in my kit with the "swing song" was a perfect background layer for these pictures.

"1st Haircut"

My three year old daughter finally just had her first haircut. Yes, she didn't have much hair until she was 2! The colors in the photos were a bit distracting, so I converted the pictures to black and white. I saved the clippings of hair that were cut. Instead of taping them into her baby book, I wanted to incorporate them into a layout without having them fall out. I used one of the punch outs as a background and machine sewed a plastic pouch to enclose the hair.
You can read the tutorial I did for making the memorabilia pouch on the SO Blog

Loved the pictures of Sarah Beth....she looks like such a happy baby! Cute haircut pics, too, of Savannah.....we waited til Caroline was 3 to get her 1st haircut, too - I couldn't bear to see any of it get cut off before then!
