18 Months

Our dear Sarah Beth, you are growing up to be such a big girl.
At 18 months you...
  • Love to play, especially with dolls, strollers, and purses, computers
  • You bring the play computer and cash register and set up shop on the little shelf in my office or put it in my lap while working.
  • Climb on everything. You can climb the ladder and are not afraid to go down the slide by yourself.
  • Are affectionate
  • Love your grandparents
  • Pitch a fit when you don't get what you want
  • Love to eat, will try most anything
  • Sleep through the night, sometimes cry out if you loose your pacifier
  • When you are ready for bed, you like to just be put in your crib and left alone.
  • Still like a pacifier, mostly when you are tired
  • Take 2 naps a day if we are home all day, if we are out, you usually miss a nap
  • Jabber a lot! You KNOW what you are saying, even if we don't.
  • Have a different voice when you are "reading"
  • Like books
  • Like to color with pencils and crayons, still have to watch you from eating crayons
  • Say "cheese" whenever I try to take your picture. (I did not teach you this)
  • Can follow simple commands
  • Know when Daddy comes home, you get to see the dog
  • Have all your teeth
  • Words we hear you plainly say a lot:
  • (mama, daddy, sissy, cup, eat, woof woof, baby, sit down, bubble (bath), no, shoe, bible)
  • Have beautiful red hair that gets lots of attention
  • Weigh 22 lbs. 14 oz., 31.5 in tall
